King of Prussia, PA, May 3, 2009: Y-Carbon today announced that Dr. Ranjan Dash (co-founder and Chief Technology Officer) received the Drexel University Young Alumni Entrepreneur Award by the Office of Alumni Relations. The formal presentation of the award took place on Saturday, May 2, at the Alumni Association Awards Ceremony in conjunction with the Blue & Gold Days Alumni Weekend. The award is given in recognition of Dr. Dash’s development of carbide-derived carbon technology as a Ph.D. student and now as Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Y-Carbon, Inc.
Dr. Dash holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Ceramics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering and MBA in Organization Management, both from Drexel University.
