Y-Carbon Receives Support from Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center

Y-Carbon has received $243,835 in funding from Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center (www.pananocenter.org).  These funds will be used to develop and commercialize supercapacitors using Y-Carbon’s proprietary tunable nanoporous carbons, and will allow Y-Carbon to be a portfolio company of Pennsylvania NanoMaterials Commercialization Center.  Y-Carbon is a portfolio company of the Ben Franklin Technology Partners of SouthEastern Pennsylvania and The Nanotechnology Institute ( HYPERLINK "http://www.nanotechinstitute.org" www.nanotechinstitute.org), and is a part of the Keystone Innovation Zone Navy Yard (www.navyyard.org/KIZAbout.htm). With collaborative expertise from Wharton SBDC (whartonsbdc.wharton.upenn.edu), a practical approach to commercializing Y-Carbon’s technology is currently underway.
